Course Descriptions


To attend a National License "A", "B", "C" Course, you must have completed both "E" and "D" state held licenses. For more questions regarding National License prerequisites, click here for more information.

The federation has announced that all course must be completed in consecutive order and no waivers will be accepted. 
 
Listed Below are State License Courses "D", "E", "G/CT Youth License", and the "National Youth" Certificate:

“National Youth” Certificate

Candidates must be 18 years old and hold a National "D" License.
 
36 Hours Total: May be held over 2 Weekends with a Friday night session and all-day sessions on Saturday and Sunday
-        - The National Youth Certificate focuses upon the nature of children and the adjustments adults must make to coach them.  Each day of the course, the focus is upon one of the traditional soccer age groups of U-6, U-8, U-10 or U-12. The course combines both classroom (theory) and field (practical) sessions and concludes with written, oral and practical examinations.

G/CT Youth License
(CJSA highly recommends that all non-licensed coaches take the G/CT Youth License prior to any other course)

Candidates must be at least 14 years of age
4 Hours Total:
2.5 Hours – Theory in Classroom
1.5 Hours – Practical Field Sessions

No formal testing
- Course is age specific, U6-U8
     - Focus of the certificate courses is for the parent coach & new coaches.
- The mission of the G/CT Youth License
 is to provide the most current and advanced information on the growth and development of the youth soccer player. Is a great license for coaches to learn about kids.

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age
