Click to download: E License Candidate Notebook (this Candidate Notebook will be your reference guide throughout the course). It is your responsibility to bring a copy of this document with you for the duration of the course.


Assignment#1: Team Management
 
Go to page 30 of the E License Candidate Notebook (the file you downloaded above) & select 1 of the 3 assignment options: Assignment A: Personal Coaching Philosophy, Assignment B: Training Plans, Assignment C: Coaching Behavior Self Analysis.Submit this on the first day of the course.

Assignment#2: Laws of the Game
This assignment consists of 2 parts - A & B (both parts must be completed).
Part A: Click the following link: http://www.ussoccer.com/Referees/Resource-Center/Referee-Resources.aspx. Then click on the required modules (once you have clicked on the required module, you will be prompted to sign in. To sign in, complete the information, first name, last name, email, State Association, for Clinic Number: enter 'E Candidate').
Complete the following laws modules:#4 equipment, #8 start/restart, #9 ball in/out, #10 scoring, #11 offside, #12 fouls, #13 free kicks, #14 penalty kicks, #15 throw in, #16 goal kicks, #17 corner kicks. As you complete each module, print a completion certificate and submit on the first day of the course.
Part B: Click the following link: http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/coaches/RulesSmallGames.aspRead and review the modifications for the following FIFA Rules and write a brief description for each rule as it applies to the team and age division that you coach and submit on the first day of the course: #1 field, #2 ball, #3 Number of Players, #5 referee, #6 asst. referee, and #7 duration of game.
 
Assignment #3: Risk Management
Please go to the following link: http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/Training/HeadsUpConcussion.html. Complete the online module, answering the questions that appear throughout the mini course. After you complete the 'Heads Up' program, print a completion certificate and submit this on the first day of the course.

Check list for what to bring to the first day of the course:
Inflated soccer ball
Clip board and pen
Candidates should dress in order to participate in soccer activities to the best of their ability.
Water and lunch (Candidates will have 1 hour to travel off site for lunch if so desired.)
