Age/ID Verification
  • Players will be verified by the state or district administrators of Connecticut Junior Soccer Associaiton.
  • Player verification is not required prior to assigning players to rosters, but players must be verified in order for the team they're assigned to to be approved through Team Activation.
  • Player verification is required for all players, except for Recreational players, registering to Connecticut Junior Soccer Association.

Background Checks
  • Coaches are required to register on the website of the club they are going to be affiliated with.
  • All coaches need to agree to an authorization in order to have their background check run.
  • Coaches will have their background check run by association administrators.
  • Connecticut Junior Soccer Association is partnered with Reference Services to have their background checks run.
 
Team Activation
  • All coaches must have a cleared background check in order to be assigned to a team.
  • All players must be Age/ID verified after uploading their birth certificate or documentation required for proof of age.
  • Players are not allowed to play down, but players are able to play up.
  • Player/coach cards can only be printed for approved teams.
  • At least 1 coach must be assigned to a team in order for the team to be approved.
 
Transfers
  • Players can be dual rostered between clubs, as long as one TEAM is state cup eligible and the other TEAM is Connecticut Cup eligible or if one is recreational play.
  • Players wishing to change clubs during a seasonal year must request a transfer. The parent must initiate the request to the club the player is currently registered to.
  • The club that the player is currently registered to has the ability to initiate the transfer.
 
Cards & State Rosters
  • Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental players are required to have a player card printed.
  • Players must be Age/ID Verified before they're able to print their card.
  • Coaches must have a clear background check and be SafeSport compliant in order to have a pass printed.
  • Teams must be approved in order for cards to be printed for players and coaches on that team.
  • Player cards and state rosters are printed by club administrators from Club & League Connect.
 
Connecticut Junior Soccer Association Engagement Details
  • Players
    • Players must register online or be admin added.
    • Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental players must have Age/ID Documents uploaded in order for players to be Age/ID Verified.
    • Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental players are Age/ID Verified by Connecticut Junior Soccer Association administrators.
    • Player cards must be printed for all Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental players, if the players are on an approved roster.
  • Coaches
    • Coaches must register online. Coaches CANNOT be admin added.
    • All admins, coaches, volunteers, and board members must have a cleared background check.
    • All admins, coaches, volunteers, and board members must be SafeSport compliant beginning in Fall 2019.
    • All Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental coaches need to have cards printed, if the coaches are on an approved roster.
  • Teams
    • All Competitive, Premier, Rec Plus, and Developmental teams must be activated and approved. Team activation is requested by club administrators.
    • All teams must have a state roster printed by a club admin.
