Soccer is a sport for everyone, and Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) is committed to making sure every young athlete in the state has a place to experience it.
This fall, CJSA is hosting a TOPSoccer Festival from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 10th, at Ken Strong Stadium at West Haven High School, bringing players of all abilities together for a fun, supportive, and inclusive morning of soccer. Player registration is required in advance. Spots are available now, so families are encouraged to register early and reserve their place at the festival.
“The TOPSoccer Festival is truly one of the most rewarding events CJSA has the privilege of hosting each year,” said Josh Krusewski, CJSA Executive Director. “On October 10, talented athletes, dedicated buddies, families, coaches, and volunteers will come together from all across Connecticut for a day that represents everything that is special about our soccer community. The energy, smiles, and relationships you see throughout the day are incredible. This event reminds us that soccer is about so much more than what happens on the field—it’s about creating opportunities, building friendships and making sure everyone has a place in our game.”

About TOPSoccer: Inclusive Soccer for Young Athletes of All Abilities
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a nationally recognized program developed by US Youth Soccer to give young athletes with intellectual, emotional, and physical disabilities the opportunity to play soccer in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Through modified training sessions and gameplay, TOPSoccer meets participants where they are, with an emphasis on learning, teamwork, confidence building, and the joy of the game.
The program is fully supported by Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, and it reflects CJSA’s broader commitment to making soccer accessible to every young athlete in the state, regardless of ability.
What Players and Families Can Expect
The West Haven TOPSoccer Festival is designed to be a celebration where players, families, volunteers, and community supporters can come together around the game. The event will feature small-sided games, skills sessions, contests, and parachute games, giving athletes a variety of ways to engage, compete, and have fun throughout the morning.
The festival atmosphere will be welcoming and energetic, with dedicated volunteers on hand to support every participant and ensure each player has a meaningful experience on the field.
