The Olympic Development Program is an identification system linked to the United States Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. The program offers its players a pathway that could lead to representing Regional and U.S. Youth National Teams. Originally established in 1977, ODP was the first program in the country designed to identify potential youth national team players. ODP players begin initially at the local sector before progressing to the state, regional and possibly national levels. By playing with like-talented athletes, ODP offers the opportunity for players to advance in their personal development and to be scouted by college coaches.

New for 2026-27! ODP Expands to the South!
ODP South will kick off with programing in Danbury for Boys and Girls in the U10 & U12 age groups and look to expand in each year until we are able to offer age groups through U17.

Schedule Overview:
- November: Tryouts held for all player pools. We anticipate a player pool of 32 players per age group (28 field players and 4 Goalkeepers).
- January – April: Training approximately every other Sunday morning from 7:00-8:30 or 8:30-10:00am. Age group training dates and time slots TBA
- Feb – June: ODP teams will attend 4 events during the cycle (see “Team Events” below)
- June: Single Tuesday evening training from 6:00-7:30 or 7:30-9:00pm. This will be the final training session prior to the ODP Tournament.
Program Fee: $700 (Includes full GK or field player uniform package, GK training and team training)
Team Events: All events are “Invite Only” events with the following exceptions:
-Blue vs White Games: All players (U12-U17) are invited to participate in this event
-U12 Boys and Girls: All players are invited to participate in all events.

- EVENT #2 – Massachusetts Sub Regional (April 3, 2027)
- EVENT #3 – Massachusetts Play Date (May – TBA)
- EVENT #4 – ODP Tournament (June 11-13, 2027)

CJSA USYS Membership Fee: All ODP players are required to be a CJSA USYS Member. Many of you will already be members registered through CJSA for your travel or premier team and will not be responsible for this fee. Players that are not registered to CJSA for the 2026-27 season will be invoiced $40 after the start of the season. (Ex: ECNL, ECNL RL, MLS Next, Girls Academy, GA Aspire, NPL)

- LILY JOSEPH SELECTED FOR 2026 FIFA UNDER-20 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP IN POLAND
Former Connecticut ODP standout Lily Joseph has been named to the 21-player U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team roster for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The Hamden native and Notre Dame midfielder previously represented the U.S. Women’s National Team at the U-19 level after coming through the Connecticut ODP pathway, where she was named the 2022 Connecticut ODP Female Player of the Year.
