CJSA Hosting State Cup Finals this Weekend

Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) is set to host its State Cup Finals this Sunday, with championship matches taking place at Farmington Sports Arena. CJSA State Cup serves as a non-residency competition, offering a pathway to the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships this June in Loudoun County, Virginia.

“Best of luck to all of the teams competing in the CJSA State Cup Finals this Sunday!” said Josh Krusewski, Executive Director of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association. “We’re especially excited to crown champions and learn who will advance to represent Connecticut at the East Region Championships in Virginia.”

  • 12U Boys: Hartford SC Athletic vs. Valley FC
  • 12U Girls: CFC Ole vs. Inter Connecticut FC
  • 13U Boys: Vale SC Newells vs. Hartford SC Athletic
  • 13U Girls: A.C. Connecticut vs. Inter Connecticut FC
  • 14U Boys: CT Rush vs. Hartford SC Athletic
  • 14U Girls: Inter Connecticut FC vs. A.C. Connecticut
  • 15U Boys: Chelsea Piers SC vs. JA Elite
  • 15U Girls: A.C. Connecticut vs. CFC Ole
  • 16U Boys: Chelsea Piers SC vs. Sporting CT
  • 16U Girls: A.C. Connecticut vs. Chelsea Piers SC
  • 17U Boys: CT Rush vs. Sporting CT
  • 17U Girls Champion: Valley FC (Determined via Round Robin)

When attending CJSA State Cup on Sunday, swing by the GCI Comfort Zone and check out the official sideline chair of CJSA, perfect for players, parents and fans who want to relax in style. The official BBQ of CJSA, Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ, will also be onsite with their legendary food truck from 9 AM to 2 PM.

After lifting the trophy for their respective age groups, CJSA State Cup champions become eligible for the US Youth Soccer (USYS) Eastern Regional Championships next month in Loudoun County, Virginia. Regional winners at the 13U age group and higher then move onto the USYS National Championships this July at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The CJSA State Cup is part of the USYS National Championships Presented by New York Life, which is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament.

After the CJSA State Cup Finals are completed this weekend, Connecticut Cup Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods will host its final round of competition in Simsbury on Saturday, June 14th. Connecticut Cup is made available to teams playing in the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association that meet residency requirements.
